La Vénerie - Brussels 2009 / exhibition viewsfolding unfolding time
videoA series of video works which deal with notions such as remembrance, static and dynamic, present and absent, revelation and concealment. Their installations attempt to produce non chronological environments where the visitor is able to experience the most fundamental operation of time: “since the past is constituted not after the present that it was but at the same time, time has to split itself in two at each moment as present and past”. The video sequences are composed of looped paradoxical movements giving the impression of linear uninterrupted progressions. "…they are as if images in a mirror, photos or postcards came to the life, assumed independence and passed into the actual." (G. Deleuze)
